Description: Fleet Admiral William Frederick Halsey, Jr [1882 1959] prominent American Fleet Admiral in the United States Navy who commanded in the South Pacific Area during the Pacific War against Japan. Halsey began his naval career in 1904, and was a veteran of World War I. During World War II Halsey was given command of the U.S Third Fleet by Admiral Chester Nimitz and he commanded Third Fleet until the war's end. Listed for auction is the autograph of Admiral William F. Halsey, Jr. signed on his personal U.S. Navy business card. The autograph is imprinted with his rank, ''Fleet Admiral Halsey'' United States Navy [Retired] and signed ''W.F. Halsey'' in blue pen. The card measures 3.00 x 1.50 inches and is in fine condition.
