Description: This is a unique series of 4 color-etch prints based on paintings by John Berkey. They commemorate iconic battles and aircraft that operated during WWI. The four prints are held in their original envelope which also describes the “Wings of Glory” series. John Berkey (1932–2008) was a renowned American artist known for his futuristic and imaginative paintings, including space art and aviation-themed works. These four prints are brand new and preserved in excellent condition. The photos show a comprehensive look at their metallic shine, which changes according to the light it is viewed in, adding depth and life to the work. The prints included are titled: Fokker E-V vs. Bristol F. 28 – 1918 De Havilland D.H. 2 vs. Fokker D. 11 – 1916 Breguet vs. Hannover CL 111a – 1917 AVRO 504K Defending Against Zeppelins - 1918 Due to their age, the white frame area of the prints displays a few signs of yellowing of the paper, however the color-etch portion is in pristine condition. Additionally, while the photos are in great condition, some of the corners of the paper have folded slightly due to time spent in storage. Please note, I don't offer returns so look at photos and ask any questions prior to purchase. Thanks.
