The Glencoe USS Oregon is a mediocre quality kit of an absolutely fantastic modeling subject. At 1/225 scale, the model can be quite impressive when finished - particularly when "dressed up" with appropriate aftermarket accessories, such as Photo Etch details and this amazing wood deck. 1/225 gave us quite a bit of room to work in incredible detail, including perimeter nibbing and planks that are MUCH closer to true scale than the crudely molded in lines on the deck. PLUS, this deck is cut slightly oversized to cover up the poor fit of the plastic deck into the hull that this kit is known for. The end result is a beautiful planked deck with a fine detail that could not be achieved via any other product or method. This deck features our unique individually tinted plank coloring system for maximum realism!Decks are precision measured and cut to 1/100 of an inch accuracy, and all of our decks are custom tested on actual plastic kits.You can read about the technology that makes our decks unique at scaledecks.com.
