Description: This scrapbook was made by Sallie Mengel starting in 1917, contains handwritten roster of young men mustering in and out of the military serving the US in France etc. Book measures 14 X 10.5 inches X 1 1/2 inch thick. There are 99 numbered pages. The book starts on page 7(made from a policy register of an insurance company) with a handwritten explanation by Sallie and her 2 sons, who compiled the scrapbook. Many of the newspaper clippings are from Easton Pa. Some colorful art prints of the war effort. See my photos. Very interesting, there is a page about the influenza of that time.
