Description: After 50years of cutting and selling opals, once in a while I come across a really awesome Opal. This one is truly spectacular. I believe it is Black opal, I can't say for sure which field it came from because Tom didn't mark the bottles, he just separated them according to color and value. Just take a look at the fantastic play of color throughout this stone. I tried to capture all the fire on each side. You know how hard it is to photograph opal, so please Super scan the pics for greater details...any??? just write. Thanks. All my opals are part of large amount of jewelry making stock remaining in my inventory. My husband, Tom, was an award winning jewelry artist.Sadly he passed away before he could cut it all. I WISH HE COULD HAVE CUT THIS ONE FOR ME! The opals were purchased at the Tuscon Gem Show directly from the Aussie miners in the 1990's.. It has been kept in water filled bottles. Please view my other listings if you care to. Thanks.
