Description: Original WW1 AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN map of BULGARIA entitled "VIDIN" - a port town on the RIVER DANUBE. Produced in July 1916 by the AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN military mapping services - "K.u.k. Militargeographisches Institut". The map was clearly captured by the Allies at some point (most likely after WW2), and found its way to the British 'Directorate of Military Survey', before it was finally removed from the official War Office archive with a 'CANCELLED' ink stamp. From a large collection recently sold off by Edinburgh University - hence their own ink stamping to margin. (From time to time, the government distributes excess stocks of Allied maps, along with captured enemy examples, to various national institutions such as libraries, museums, universities etc.) Has never been folded, so will be shipped rolled in a cardboard tube. Please see my other WW1 (and WW2) maps, documents, photos etc. International Shipping will be carried out by eBay's Global Shipping Programme, who set their own postage rates and do not routinely combine shipping. (This is calculated by eBay's automated systems and is completely beyond my control.) Seller's Ref - U1165
