Description: A very nice example of a World War One Imperial German Army Infantryman's Dark Patina's Belt Buckle found near Ypres! A smashing example of a surviving combat belt buckle as worn by an Enlisted Man or NCO in the Kaiser's Army in the Trenches of the Western Front and bearing the legend Gott Mit Uns (God is With Us) in the centre circle around the Kaiser's Crown. With a very darkened brass patina and a small amount of verdigris to the rear, there are two small dents to the Kaiser Crown to the front. However this doesn't detract from what is a cracking war-time belt buckle formerly belonging to a WW-I German Infantryman, fighting on the Ypres Salient... Thanks for looking..!
