It was used in UK /US aircraft and on base stations during the WW2 war and following to idenitfiy locations of aircraft, bombers, movement, targets and the like. It was used in a number of the WW2 RAF fleet. This is the front panel, case and shell - it has a massive transformer and Tube inside, the chasiss is inside and some cabling and original switches. It is currently missing most of the internal parts - likely to have been used for spares etc for the valves, valve holders etc. As it may have been used as a film prop or museum piece.
